Who Should Register?
We encourage all those who are already involved or are seeking jobs at a technical, professional, management or executive level to register. As a general rule our minimum salary level is around £20,000. We have no maximum salary level, in fact, our consultancy has handled a number of posts with six figure salaries. We are also interested to hear from those who have recently graduated or obtained professional qualifications who might be below this salary level, but who are at the start of their career.

How do you operate with respect to Equal Opportunities?
Quite naturally we observe Equal Opportunities Legislation and therefore we welcome registration from candidates from all backgrounds. As Human Resource professionals ourselves, we support the management of diversity in the workplace and encourage our clients to do likewise.

What areas to you cover?

Which jobs?  We cover a complete range of job functions from Administration Services through to Director positions, constrained only by the minimum salary level at which we recruit. If you have any doubt, please contact us.
 
What location?  We are looking to receiving Registrations from candidates who are interested in the Greater Peterborough Plus region . This is a catchment area of about 30-40 miles around Peterborough and covers North and Central Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire, North Northamptonshire, and North West Norfolk.

How can I end my Registration?
If you wish to end your Registration with The Talent Link at any time, for whatever reason, simply send us an email from the email address you have registered with us requesting us to remove your information. Following such request we will delete your details from our database and computer records. Please note that once deletion has taken place your records will be irretrievable and you will need to re-register and input all data again should you wish to reactivate your Registration.

Are my details kept confidential?
All information stored electronically is subject to the Data Protection Act and is treated in the strictest of confidence. Information is retained internally by ourselves and only passed to legitimate clients when you have indicated that we may do this, normally because you have applied for a vacancy with them. It is not our practice to “hike” CV’s round the market place in order to “sell” candidates on a speculative basis.

What if I do not immediately match any vacancy?
The Talent Link can offer no guarantees about how quickly any candidates will be placed with a client. Much depends on individual experience and skills as well as current opportunities in the local market place. However, as we are continually updating the Talentlink with client vacancies, the potential for matching your experience and skills will increase the longer you are registered with us. We would therefore encourage you to maintain your registration for as long as you consider yourself to be active in the jobs market. You are welcome at any time to update your CV and review your personal details and skills profile you have submitted.

How can I improve my CV?
We encourage everyone who Registers with us to ensure their CV is in a suitable format and is also kept up-to-date. If you want more details about how to prepare a CV please see the I Want Advice section of this website.

How long does it take?
Registering with the Talentlink only requires you to input basic personal details. To be considered for a vacancy will require the input of additional information. The whole process however, should take no more than 20 – 30 minutes. Once you are registered your details become active and the automatic process of matching you to known vacancies begins.

How long does my Registration last?
Once registered with us, your details will remain active on our database indefinitely unless you request them to be removed. However, in circumstances we may approach candidates to see whether they want to remain active. We reserve the right to delete any registrations that we consider to be inactive or dormant.

Does it cost anything?
No. To register with The Talent Link is free. Recruitment fees are charged against our clients, and not against candidates.
