It is vital that you take your time to prepare a first class CV. Work through the various exercises in this Session until you are happy that you are presenting yourself in the best light . Also draw on any self-assessment and personal profiling that you have carried out. Some areas of potential interest to prospective employers that might be among your own achievements are:

Once you have completed the various exercises, and prior to drafting the CV itself, summarise all your achievements on several sheets of paper referring to the schedule of action words to give your list impact. Also draw up the following information about each of the appointments you have held, starting with the most recent and working backwards:

COMPANY
LOCATION AND INDUSTRY/SECTOR
SIZE OF BUSINESS (STAFF, TURNOVER)
JOB PARAMETERS (REPORTS TO WHOM AND STAFF ACCOUNTABILITY)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND BUDGET
ACHIEVEMENTS

When this is complete, prepare a list of particulars about your education, training and professional qualifications as follows:

TRAINING COURSES ATTENDED, DATES, CERTIFICATES
